The regular March meeting of the Tompkins County Pomona Grange will be held in Rothschild Hall, over R. A. Heggie's store, on March 11, beginning at 10 o'clock in the morning. Prompt attendance is expected as there is much business to be done.
H. D. Parker, county deputy of Cortland County will install the officers of the Grange in the afternoon, and the reports from the New YorkState Grange meetig will be given in the morning. The annual memorial servies will also be held at this meeting.

Mrs. Frances VanKirk Foote, daughter of Alfred VanKirk, a former resident of this vicinity, who now lives in Poughkeepsie, suffered a stroke of paralysis last Saturday.

Joseph Diggle, who has just returned from overseas, is visiting at the thome of George Richards. Mr. Diggle was in France for three years and was a German prisoner for one year. While he was in nine different countries.
(Transcriber’s note: Bertha Bogardus married George H. Beard and they had a daughter Esther Beard. Esther married Victor Borst and had Victor D. Borst and Evelyn Lucy Borst. I met Victor D. at my mothers a couple of years ago. I believe he lives in Chicago. Esther was killed in an automobile accident where the door came open and she flew out of the car. I remember when that happened. Victor Sr. remarried and lived for a time in the big house in Brooktondale with the pillars. Victor D. also lived there until fairly recently with his wife Bee, taking care of his step mother. Bertha was the d/o of Charles Bogardus and Frances Lane. The heavy rains of the past week have hindered the farmers from plowing for several days.
Rev. Chester Hurst and family of Chamber spent a day recently with his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. Hurst, and also visited his sister, Mrs. Henry Walworth, of Groton.
Ernest Forshee has rented a house in Groton and will resume his work in the Corona shops. Mr. Forshee recently returned from France.
Floyd VanMarter of West Hill has purchased a house and lot of W. D. Baldwin. He will make Groton his winter home.
Leon Bushnell has sold his house and lot on Cayuga Street to George Rice.
Ocsar J. Smith of Groton and Miss Lena M. Sheppard of Cortland wee married in Cortland on April 5. Mr. Smith recently returned form France.
George Cummings is planning to build a large apartment house on Main Street.
W. B. Sears has sold five building lots on Cayuga street to the Groton Home Building Company.
Herbert Gleason has received his honorable discharge and has resumed his work in the First National Bank.

Arcana Rebekah Lodge No. 377 I. O. O. F. entertained Hawthorne Rebekah Lodge, of Ithaca, last Friday evening to a banquet supper at 7 p.m. About a hundred were present through the night was rainy and unpleasant. Hawthorne Rebekah degree team members worked the degree on a class of nine candidates for the Areana Lodge. A very pleasant evening was enjoyed by all.
Miss Edith Taggart of Elmira is calling on her many friends in town.
Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Starr recently visited Mr. and Mrs. David E. Anderson in Freeville. Mrs. Starr returned last Thursday, who also visited her daughter, Mrs. W. S. Shangle in Ithaca. Little Kermit Shangle was very sick with the real old-fashioned measles.
Miss Alida E. Shangle of Ithaca is spending the Easter week vacation with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Starr.
